KATIE Piper has revealed her shock friendship with Madonna after the pair hit it off on Instagram.
Presenter Katie, 40, heaped praise on her “role model” as she explained how they stay in touch with emojis on social media.

Speaking exclusively with The Sun after it was noticed they follow each other, she said: “Yeah, it’s funny. She followed me first and I was like, ‘Oh!’ because I really love Madonna.
“I really like the way that she lives her life. I find her… she’s unapologetic, she’s authentic so she’s a female role model to me.
“So, yeah we follow each other online, we look at each other’s Stories, send each other emojis. It’s an unexpected online friendship, isn’t it?”
Katie – whose new children’s book, Together We Are Stronger, is out now – added: “Not actually DMs but we react to each other’s Stories, that kind of thing.
“But I think she’s a very powerful woman so she’s a big role model to women, I think.”
Katie spoke with us to announce her brand new ambassador role for an online safety campaign.
The activist was spurred on to team up with Virgin Media O2 and Internet Matters for Find the Right Words after her daughter was approached by a stranger online.
She explained how the adult had impersonated a child YouTuber and congratulated her score via a chat facility in a game.
But, once they started chatting, it became apparent that all was not as it seemed.

The campaign is backed by leading charities Action for Children and Good Things Foundation, with brand new guides for families and a powerful film highlighting the difficulties parents can face in explaining online risks, watch here.
Katie said: “It gives you advice and sort of language and tone on how to approach this conversation with your kids.
“And then the other guide, which me and my husband really need, is very practical. It’s all about the parental controls, the privacy settings and all the different limitations that you can implement.
“I actually think that’s the barrier for a lot of parents. They don’t know how to sit down and have this conversation with their child, which is why this guide is so brilliant.”

The Indiana Fever rookie is finally taking a break after nearly a year of non-stop basketball, and the first thing she did was jump into a bikini immediately.
The Fever rookie and her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, are on vacation together and enjoying the warm lake weather.
This week, McCaffery — who currently works as a team assistant for the Indiana Pacers — took to his Instagram story and shared several pictures of Caitlin Clark rocking a two-piece brown bikini while on a floatation device in the middle of the water.
The first picture shows Caitlin Clark and Will Matthiessen giving a peace sign as you can see the top portion of Clark’s bikini.
The former Hawkeyes is right in front of Matthiessen, who is a right-handed pitcher out of Stanford, who was a sixth-round pick by the Pirates in the 2019 MLB draft.

Matthiessen is dating Clark’s Fever teammate, guard Lexie Hull, who is also with them.

Caitlin Clark Couldn’t ‘Wait to Not Touch a Basketball For a While’
Caitlin Clark is a beast when it comes to being on the court, but even she gets tired sometimes.
Caitlin helped lead the Iowa women’s basketball team to back-to-back championship games, which means she played the most games you can in women’s college basketball for two years in a row.
Her final season ended in April 2024, and the Indiana Fever began their season in May of 2024.
According to the IndyStar, Caitlin was ready to not touch a basketball for a while.
“I honestly can’t wait to not touch a basketball for a while. I’ve shot too many times in the past year. I think it’s hard as a professional athlete at times, like people do always realize I feel like an individual just like all of you. I’m just the same human. I go about my same daily life, I do all the things that you do, I just play basketball on top of that .”

Hull appeared to be wearing a red two-piece bikini set as she sat up on the raft while Clark was lying down holding two peace signs up.

Lexie Hull is having quite the season for the Indiana Fever as they continue to fight for a playoff spot.
Despite playing limited minutes off the bench, she is helping her team by averaging 3.6 points per game, per WNBA.com.

Lexie Hull spoke on her vacation plans when she posted a TikTok of her pregame outfit before a game against the Dallas Wings.
While showing off her outfit, Hull said that, “It’s our last game before All-Star break and Olympic break, so we have like a month off from games.
“And some of my teammates and I are going to Mexico. So I figured the last game before then, I would wear something that’s giving Mexico.”
