Katie Price is said to have tried to flirted with TV presenter Declan Donnelly after the pair met on 2004’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!

Katie Price once set her sights set on Declan Donnelly, according to his co-host Ant McPartlin.

The Geordie duo have encountered Katie multiple times over the years, primarily due to her two appearances on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!

However, it was after her first stint in the Australian jungle that Ant suggested Katie – who later married her fellow campmate Peter Andre – made a play for show host Dec.

In Ant and Dec’s joint autobiography, Ant reminisced about how Katie, then known as Jordan, tried to charm Dec at the wrap party for that year’s series of the ITV show, with her mum even attempting to play matchmaker. Katie first entered the jungle for the third series of I’m A Celebrity in 2004 while dating Scott Sullivan, who had travelled to Australia to support her.

Despite breaking up with Scott to pursue a relationship with Pete, she apparently checked if I’m A Celebrity host Dec was interested before going on to pursue a relationship with the Mysterious Girl singer in the outside world.

“The other thing I remember from that party is doing shots with Kerry, and Jordan [Katie’s glamour model alter-ego] chasing after Dec, who she had propositioned during her departure interview,” Ant recalled when writing about that year’s wrap party in his and Dec’s autobiography Ooh! What A Lovely Pair in 2009.

Even after Dec – who at the time had recently split from childhood sweetheart Clare Buckfield – had given her the brush-off, Katie’s mum Amy Price tried to act as a wing woman for her daughter.

Ant went on to write: “He managed to avoid her all night, but her mum did corner him a couple of times and try to set him up with her. He wasn’t having any of it.”

Katie may never have bagged a date with Dec, but she did end up having a serious relationship with another member of the I’m A Celebrity family. After leaving the jungle in 2004, Katie and Pete were inseparable and their whirlwind romance led to marriage the following year at Highclere Castle in Hampshire.

They went on to welcome two children together – Junior Andre, 18, and Princess Andre, 17, – before sensationally calling it quits on their romance in 2009 and divorcing.

Speaking about his two eldest children on This Morning last year, Pete told Alison Hammond : “They’re the only jungle babies. They’re the only ones to be born from the show I believe.”

Meanwhile, Dec went on to find love himself shortly after Katie tried to seduce him at the I’m A Celebrity wrap party in 2004. Following a relationship with TV host Georgie Thompson from January 2009 to April 2011, Dec found love with his and Ant’s manager Ali Astall. The couple got hitched in 2015 and have since welcomed two children.
