Prince Harry and Prince William, who inherited a significant portion of their mother Princess Diana’s belongings after her tragic death, will not inherit her childhood home, Althorp Estate. Instead, this historic property will pass to their cousin, Louis Spencer, Viscount Althorp. This surprising inheritance decision is rooted in the British aristocratic system of primogeniture, which favors the eldest male heir.
Princess Diana tragically died in a car crash in Paris on August 31, 1997, a calamity that also claimed the lives of her driver Henry Paul and her boyfriend Dodi Fayed. The devastating event left Diana’s sons, Harry and William, inheriting the bulk of a £13 million fortune and a significant collection of jewelry. However, Althorp Estate, which has been in the Spencer family since 1508, follows the tradition of passing down to the oldest male heir. Louis Spencer, the son of Diana’s brother, Earl Charles Spencer, is the designated heir to Althorp despite having three older sisters. The estate will bypass them due to the rules of primogeniture.
The estate, where Diana spent much of her childhood and where she was laid to rest, will eventually become Louis’s responsibility. The sprawling property opens its doors to visitors each summer, offering a glimpse into the late princess’s early life. Louis Spencer, who studied at the University of Edinburgh and trained at a drama school in Chiswick, London, is currently building his career as an actor, represented by Tavistock Wood talent agency. Louis prefers to maintain a low profile; a source close to the family told The Telegraph, “He’s super private and gets on quietly with his things. He’s a very talented actor, and I think he’ll be a brilliant one. You’d like him—he’s very low-key, genuine, decent, kind, tall, and handsome.”
Kitty Spencer, Louis’s older sister, has publicly supported the tradition of primogeniture despite its implications for her inheritance. Speaking to Town and Country magazine, she acknowledged the evolving attitudes towards such traditions but expressed confidence in her brother’s ability to manage the estate. “We’ve grown up understanding that it’s Louis to inherit, and Louis will do an incredible job,” she said.
This inheritance tradition has left Harry and William without a claim to Althorp despite their royal status. The estate’s historical significance, both as Diana’s childhood home and final resting place, adds to its emotional value. However, the Spencers’ adherence to primogeniture underscores the enduring customs within British aristocracy, where lineage and gender often dictate the passage of property and titles.
Louis’s involvement with the estate has already begun as he attends trustee meetings in preparation for his future responsibilities. His low-key approach contrasts with the high-profile public lives of his royal cousins. In 2019, Tatler magazine named him one of the top eligible bachelors following his appearance at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, which brought him into the public eye.
BREAKING: ESPN Aпɴoυпcemeпt Explaiпs Why Aпgel Reese Dᴇserves WΝΒΑ Rᴏokie of the Year Over Caiᴛliп Clark
ESPN Αππουπcement Explaining Why Angel Reese Was Awarded Rookie of the Year Instead of Caitlin Clark
In a recent annουncement, ESPN explained why Angel Reese, rather than Caitlin Clark, was awarded the Rookie of the Year award. This decision has sparked significant debate and mixed reactions from fans and basketball experts alike.

According to ESPN, the primary reason for awarding the honor to Angel Reese is her consistency and efficiency throughout the season. Reese had an impressive season with standout personal achievements, including high scoring, excellent defensive capabilities, and a significant impact on the court. She not only helped her team secure many crucial victories but also demonstrated maturity and leadership rarely seen in rookies.
ESPN emphasized that although Caitlin Clark also had an outstanding season, the difference lay in Reese’s stability and overall contributions to her team. Reese played a critical role in both offense and defense, and her versatility allowed her team to maximize its potential.
Another factor ESPN highlighted is Angel Reese’s influence off the court. She is not only an exceptional athlete but also a positive role model in the community, engaging in numerous charitable activities and youth support programs. This added to her value and was a key reason for her selection for this prestigious award.

ESPN’s announcement reaffirmed that the decision to award Angel Reese was based on a fair and thorough evaluation process, considering all aspects from individual achievements and contributions to the team, to her influence outside of basketball. While the decision may be controversial, it underscores the development and talent of both young athletes.
In conclusion, ESPN called on fans to respect and support both Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark, as both are exceptional talents who will continue to deliver exciting and thrilling games for fans in the upcoming seasons.
WNBA Fans Are Baffled After ESPN Made A Stunning Change At The Top Of Their Rookie Of The Year Rankings

ESPN left fans baffled after making Angel Reese the favorite for the WNBA’s Rookie of the Year Award.
The ROTY race is heating up and is now the most exciting aspect of the current regular season due to Reese and Clark being the frontrunners.
The rivals have led impressive individual campaigns in 2024 and are breaking records almost every game. They’ve been finding ways to upstage each other all season, but only one of them will win the award at the end of the term.
As of Thursday morning, The Worldwide Leader in Sports had the Chicago Sky forward down to win the award, having released their latest 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year Award rankings.
Reese moved ahead of Clark to claim the No. 1 spot this week. And fans couldn’t handle it:
“Angel Reese is on fraud watch idc what y’all say,” one wrote.
“It’s just for clicks. At the end of the year Caitlin Clark will be rookie of the year,” another declared.
“They are so clearly doing this for clicks. No one ACTUALLY think Angel Reese is better than CC,” a third said.
“This is wildly upsetting. Caitlin’s in a league of her own and Reese doesn’t belong in ROTY talks,” a fourth remarked.
“They really trying hard huh,” a user claimed.
ESPN Explains Why They Have Angel Reese At No. 1
ESPN’s explanation for Angel Reese’s jump up the rankings is as follows:
“For the most part, Reese has been a stat-stuffing dynamo in her debut campaign. She is a close second (behind Clark) in points per 100 possessions among rookies, leads by a mile in rebound rate and has been the best active defensive rookie following Brink’s injury June 19.
“And aside from teammate Lindsay Allen, no member of the Sky has been associated with more of an uptick in the team’s performance while on the court than Reese, who has overseen a 16.6-point improvement in Chicago’s net rating when she’s in the game.”
While the latest rankings are sure to cause some controversy, there’s still plenty of time for things to change (or stay the same).
