Toni Kroos has worn the same make of boots since the start of the 2013/2014 season.
Adidas have announced that their 11pro range of football boots will be renamed in tribute to Toni Kroos.
For many years, Kroos used the same pair of blue, white and black Adidas Adipure 11pro’s – a boot he once described as being “the most important” tool for him on a football pitch.
To give you an idea of how much he loved them, the midfielder was given a brand new pair of 11pro’s ahead of the Champions League final in 2022, featuring stitching of the date and location.
But instead of wearing the new design, the German decided to use his old faithfuls inside the Stade de France.
He clearly feels comfortable wearing the Adidas classics. In fact, former Real Madrid teammate Gareth Bale once revealed that the protective Kroos cleans his Adipure’s himself before every game.
“We think he doesn’t trust the kitman to clean them,” Bale said. “So he always cleans them himself so that they’re perfect.”

Kroos then appeared to damage his beloved 11pro’s – a boot that was originally released in early 2013 – during Los Blancos’ win against Liverpool in the Champions League final.
But he’s continued to wear a different model of the cleat ever since.
In fact, on Friday night, the Germany international wore the 11pro’s for the final time as he played his final game before retirement – a Euro 2024 quarter-final clash against tournament favourites Spain.
After the full-time whistle it was announced that moving forward, the Adidas 11pro will be renamed the adidas TKpro.
“Toni Kroos and the 11pro: love at first sight, sole mates until the last kick,” Adidas wrote in a post on social media. “Danke, Toni.”

In an interview with GOAL in 2021, Kroos waxed lyrical about his tools of choice. “My boots? The truth is it’s a bit special,” he said.
“I have not seen another player in Real Madrid who cleans his boots every day and prepares them like that. My boots are the most important thing for me on the pitch, more than for other players.”
Kroos announced his shock decision to retire from the game in May.
“After 10 years [at Madrid], at the end of the season this chapter comes to an end,” he said.
“At the same time this decision means that my career as an active footballer will end this summer after the Euro Championship. As I have always said: Real Madrid is and will be my last club. I am happy and proud, that in my mind I found the right timing for my decision and that I could choose it by my own.”
Fans name the player who should be dropped for England’s game against Switzerland at Euro 2024 (an)

Fans want a change to the starting XI ahead of England’s quarter-final clash against Switzerland.
Fans never want to see a player in an England shirt ever again following their dramatic victory over Slovakia at Euro 2024.
England secured their spot in the next round of the tournament following their thrilling 2-1 victory in Gelsenkirchen.
Ivan Schranz opened the scoring in the 25th minute and his strike seemed destined to be enough for Slovakia to book their place in the quarter-finals.
Jude Bellingham had other ideas as he produced a moment of magic deep, deep into injury time to send the last-16 clash into extra-time as fans spotted what he said during his celebration.
Harry Kane then put England ahead just one minute into the restart.
The Three Lions resume their campaign next Saturday when they face Switzerland in the quarter-finals.
And ahead of the showdown for a spot in the semi-finals, England fans don’t want to see Kieran Trippier in the starting XI.
Supporters on social media turned on Trippier as they made their feelings clear on social media.

People have had enough of the Newcastle United defender and never want to see him play an international match ever again following his performance against Slovakia.
One X user slammed: “Trippier should never play for England again.”
A second exclaimed: “Trippier should never play for England again the guy is shite.”
A third added: “Never want to see Walker & Trippier play for England again.”
A fourth said: :Trippier stitching Guehi up leading to a yellow card in 3 minutes. Fantastic. It’s a mystery how he still plays for England let alone starts at a tournament.”
Another commented: “Pathetic how Trippier made the tournament never mind starting every one. Been horrific for ages.”
Trippier has started all four of England’s game at Euro 2024.
But fans hope Gareth Southgate drops him, with the likes of Liverpool’s Joe Gomez or Aston Villa’s Ezri Konsa at his disposal.
Jude Bellingham facing Euro 2024 ban as UEFA perform U-turn over England star’s X-rated gesture (an)

Jude Bellingham appeared to make a gesture towards the Slovakia bench in England’s win at Euro 2024.
UEFA has performed a U-turn on Jude Bellingham following his apparent gesture aimed at the Slovakia bench in England’s dramatic win at Euro 2024.
England beat Slovakia 2-1 on Sunday to book their spot in the next round of the tournament.
Jude Bellingham scored a stunning bicycle kick goal deep, deep into stoppage time to force the last-16 clash into extra-time following Ivan Schranz’s opener.
Harry Kane headed home in extra-time to seal England’s passage to the quarter-finals.
After the result, Bellingham took to social media to clarify his gesture following his goal.
Initial reports suggested that there were no plans to charge the star midfielder.
But UEFA has now confirmed an investigation into the England player’s actions have been launched for potential violation of the basic rules of decent conduct.
UEFA ethics and disciplinary inspector ‘will conduct a disciplinary investigation regarding a potential violation of the basic rules of decent conduct by the English FA player, Jude Bellingham’.
In a statement, UEFA said: “The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body (CEDB) will decide on the matter in due course.
“Furthermore, an UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector will conduct a disciplinary investigation regarding a potential violation of the basic rules of decent conduct by the English Football Association player, Jude Bellingham, having allegedly occurred in the scope of this match.
“Information on this matter will be made available in due course.”

The 21-year-old is now at risk of receiving a ban at Euro 2024, which would rule him out of England’s game against Switzerland on Saturday.
Any form of suspension would be a major blow to Gareth Southgate, who is already without Marc Guehi for their quarter-final tie in Dusseldorf.
Bellingham has scored two goals for England at Euro 2024, including his winner against Serbia in their tournament opener.
He’s been influential for the Three Lions in Germany following a prolific campaign at Real Madrid last season.
